SEETA DEVELOPMENT GROUP This group is composed of seven women and one man. They utilise the loans from Capital for Life by injecting the money in a number of enterprises such as keeping poultry, running canteens, selling charcoal, brick laying and agriculture. Pic: Jane Kiwanuka and her hens.
KAYANJA DEVELOPMENT GROUP Composed of 15 women and one man this group has invested their money in such diverse businesses as: raising chickens and pigs, stone quarrying, running canteens and kiosks selling food stuffs and vegetables, saloons, farming, a microbrewery, restaurants, small bars and retail shops, mushroom growing (pictured above), selling eggs and animal feeds as well as a boda boda business and a brick laying project.
NAMATABA DEVELOPMENT GROUP Namataba Development Group is composed of six members (five women and one man). They practice cow rearing, have saloons, sell clothing, have a boda boda business and grow sugar cane. Pic: Beneficiaries signing for loan
BUNYAGIIRA WOMENS DEVELOPMENT GROUP This group is one of Capital for Life’s longstanding receivers of support. Composed of 16 women, they use the loans in a number of exciting ways including raising chickens, goats, cows and pigs, Members of the group own retail shops selling goods as varied as mobile phone products, wheat and other vegetables and drugs.There is also a small bar and even a microbrewery. Some seed money was obtained from well wishers and lent to the community at a manageable interest rate to promote these businesses. About 50 community members have benefited from from the success of this group.
KUNGU DEVELOPMENT GROUP Made up of 19 women and four men, the Kungu Group is another of Capital for Life’s long serving groups who have all proved to be extremely hardworking and very successful.
They invested their loans into a range of interesting and sustainable businesses. The majority have invested in pig rearing, tomato farming, bean and maize growing. Others invested in small retail shops and one member invested in sugar cane growing.
